based on the april fool's chef au short! pretty much the same premise, just fleshed out in our own indulgent ways... aka: slowburn and silly romance, teacher student nonsense, and the inherent sentimentality of food and home (thank you gourmet hound...)

phainon-centric high school au, built off of the general angst of the flame reaver situation. definitely contains some unholy level of shoujo romance indulgence. after phainon's adoptive parents cruelly abandon him in the care of a distant guardian and cut off all contact between him and their daughter cyrene, his worldview is crushed, leaving him jaded and distrustfuk of others. a chance encounter with mydei and the relationships that begin to sprout from this one connection slowly start to open up his world again

stemmed from soup's inability to get invested in the amphoreus plotline during the first week of 3.0, where she imagined the events of the story as the crew's dnd campaign in a modern au where phainon is an idol

co-authored by soup; a canon-divergent au centered around the kamisato siblings (plus scaramouche) that spiraled from a misread of a genshin lore iceberg post.
tl;dr. "ayato" was originally scaramouche, given to the kamisato family by yae. when he runs from home he leaves behind a tanuki he befriended, and this tanuki assumes his role as "ayato", eventually coming to enjoy being a part of the kamisato family in earnest. post-inazuma arc, ayaka comes to learn of this with scaramouche's return, and after the initial confusion/world implosion, she accepts that she just has two brothers (one of which is a shapeshifting tanuki) <3
